Natural News
- Is it any wonder the general public are confused when it comes to the impact of animal agriculture and meat eating on the environment? US meat giant, Tyson, has been outed for massaging data it used to promote a ‘climate-smart’ beef dubbed ‘Brazen Beef’. Freedom of Information requests, made by U.S. Right to Know, reveal serious issues with the way the supposed climate reductions were calculated, as Tyson sought to greenwash a damaging and unsustainable production system. Unsurprisingly, the product has now been withdrawn
- A recent article published in Frontières de la nutrition emphasises the nutritional benefits and health implications of red meat consumption, particularly in the context of ‘growing’ meatless initiatives. The authors, all of whom are pro-meat, argue that while plant-based diets are gaining popularity, red meat remains a valuable source of essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, and vitamin B12, which are crucial for maintaining health, let alone arachadonic acid which is needed for resolving inflammation and wound healing. They caution that eliminating red meat without proper nutritional planning could lead to deficiencies and associated health impacts
- In the UK, climate zealot and journalist, George Monbiot, criticises two reports promoting the importance of animal farming in sustainable farming systems, particularly on land not suitable for crops. The piece presents a one-sided view as it destroys the conclusions of the reports and attempts to leave the reader with no doubt of the supposed danger to the environment of all animal agriculture, including sustainable and regenerative methods. For those of us that understand the importance to health, the environment and the planet of maintaining a balanced ecosystem, now is the time for us to come together to reclaim our food sovereignty. Food that is based on tried and trusted techniques that nourish the animals and plants we grow to feed us, nourish the land and environment used to produce our food and ultimately nourish humans.

- The power of natural genetic adaptation is illustrated in a new study published in Rapports sur les cellules investigating the ability of the Haenyeo, all-female divers from the Korean island of Jeju, to free dive in frigid waters. The divers’ ability to dive without breathing equipment, even when pregnant, is due to both training and genetic adaption – passed down through the Haenyeo population, which gives greater ability to withstand the cold and reduce blood pressure when diving. The health implication is that regular, intense environmental stressors—like cold water exposure and hypoxia—can drive beneficial adaptations in metabolism, cardiovascular function, and mitochondrial efficiency. This study further supports the premise behind interventions that induce hormetic stress (mild, intermittent stress), commonly used in clinical psychoneuroimmunology, for healing as well as enhancing resilience and longevity
- Exposure to a range of chemicals including phenols, parabens and PAEs have been found to put individuals, particularly men, at higher risk of cognitive decline in later life. Publishing in the Journal des troubles affectifs researchers found that the higher someone’s chemical load, the worse they performed in cognitive tests. The study emphasises the lack of safety testing of mixtures of chemicals, as regulators and manufacturers continue to work with single substance evaluations
- Exposure to phthalates from plastics are estimated to be responsible for nearly 14% of all cardiovascular (CVD) deaths in adults aged 55 to 64 globally. One of the most striking findings of a recent study published in eBioMedicine, was the disproportionately higher level of exposure for those in the Middle East and South Asia compared to Europe. The study was limited to the assessment of the impact of di-2-ethylhexylphthalate (DEHP), used to soften plastics, and four of its metabolites on cardiovascular health despite concerns over the links between other plastic-related chemicals on CVD mortality. DEHP exposure is associated with increased inflammation in blood vessels, which can elevate the risk of heart attacks and strokes over time
- Hemp farmers in Italy are under huge pressure from the Italian government’s clampdown on hemp and CBD products. The industry is pushing back against a court decision that equates industrial hemp with high-THC cannabis and the effective banning of both CBD and hemp flowers. Business of Cannabis has the full story as the Italian CBD industry fights back against inappropriate and heavy-handed legislation that has the potential to wipe out the industry in Italy
- In France the CBD industry is resisting moves by the French Health Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety’s (ANSES) attempt to ban the use of CBD in food and cosmetics due to concerns over its safety in pregnancy. The move aligns with Rob Verkerk PhD’s prediction that the issue of safety could be used to further restrict the CBD industry in Europe as pharma increasingly steps into the natural health space.

- Pharma’s continued campaign to influence EU regulation is revealed once again by a new paper published in Drug Discovery Today. The paper pushes for greater incentives, such as expedited approvals of new products, for pharma companies to invest in the EU rather than US markets
- A comprehensive nutrition research agenda has been unveiled in the US by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of the Make America Health Again (MAHA) agenda. The new research agenda seeks to answer a multitude of nutrition-related questions such as how ultra-processed foods and food additives impact people’s health
- The FDA has also announced its initiating action to remove concentrated ingestible fluoride prescription drug products for children from the market. A date of 31st October 2025 has been set for the completion of a safety review and public comment period on the proposals, as the MAHA agenda continues.

- Media channels are buzzing about a brand-new sweetener, Mellia Brazzein, produced using a synthetic biology platform through precision fermentation, after it was given a “No Questions” letter by the FDA. However, the development of the sugar alternative illustrates once again how biopiracy by both food manufacturers and pharma companies is rife. Brazzein comes from the West African Oubli berry, which the University of Wisconsin altered and patented paving the way for the synthetic version of the protein. The development has allegedly crashed the price of naturally derived Brazzein and is in danger of destroying a once thriving industry in West Africa cultivating the Oubli berry.

- Vitamin D supplementation can help reduce the number of days children are sick as a result of acute respiratory infections. A Danish study published in the Journal européen de la nutrition, found children supplemented with 800IU (20ug) experienced 17% fewer sick days than children taking a placebo.
>>> Why is vitamin D so essential for our health and wellbeing?
- An op-ed in The Guardian waxes lyrical about a new treatment for autoimmune disease, describing ‘inverse vaccines’ (also known as tolerogenic vaccines) as the holy grail of autoimmunity treatment as pharma companies start to hype the potential ‘antidote’ to autoimmune conditions. The process mimics a natural mechanism of the immune system to prevent the immune system from attacking itself. Whilst this is being sold as a potential panacea, there are those that are cautious about the development as the understanding of the intracacies of the immune system is still limited and there’s much that could go wrong. Not to mention that so-called ‘magic bullet’ treatments too often end up being used as an easy pass to continue with poor dietary and lifestyle choices.

- The new FDA Commissioner, Dr Marty Makary, has raised doubts over the approval of covid boosters for Winter 2025/26 citing a lack of data to support their approval and use
- The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the US Department of Health and Human Services is planning to remove recommendations for children, teenagers and pregnant women to have routine covid shots
- Spike protein has been found in 92% of covid vaccine-injured patients up to 245 days (8 months) after vaccination. A new study published in Vaccins humains et immunothérapies, bringing together what many scientists and doctors have been saying since the release of covid ‘vaccines’, raises serious concerns about post-jab chronic disease burdens. Nicholas Hulscher, publishing in Focal Points, discusses the new study and what it means
- The refusal by the European Commission to release text messages between the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and the CEO of Pfizer, discussing the contract to purchase covid mRNA vaccines, violated transparency rules. The General Court of the EU has dealt von der Leyen a significant blow as it rules that the Commission has not given a plausible reason to justify its dismissal of a journalist’s Freedom of Information request to access the messages. Whether the messages will now be released remains to be seen
- Japanese scientists are sounding the alarm about links to kidney disease following covid mRNA ‘vaccines’. Their recent study, published in Cureus, reports on 30 patients who developed kidney disease, which the scientists have attributed to immune dysfunction following the jabs
- Turkish researchers, publishing in Vaccins, have raised a red flag over the potential impact of covid ‘vaccines’ on female fertility, after their rat studies found a significant decrease in ovarian health, including that egg supply was damaged by the shots.
