Inspirational childbirth and maternity

In a society where pregnancy and birth is highly medicalised and instrumentalised, not just in the literal sense, but also sometimes psychologically too. Women can often end up feeling excluded from their own birthing journey, but also somewhat dominated and even controlled, let alone having to cope in an overwhelmed healthcare system. There surely must be a better way to nurture, look after and guide pregnant women?

And there is – naturopathy, hypnobirthing and mindfulness are some of the many practices that are nurturing women before, during and after the birth of their babies.

Considering how our pre-birth and birth experiences shape our world, shouldn’t we take the time physically, emotionally and spiritually to prepare for them?

Presenter: Zakia Mance, Naturopath and Hypnobirthing teacher, Chair General Council and Register of Naturopaths (GCRN)

Date: Thursday 12th Januuary

Time: 10am – 12pm

Location: Online via Zoom
